Cake Life Bake Shop
,

Located in vibrant Fishtown, Philadelphia, Cake Life Bake Shop is co-owned by Lily Fischer and Nima Etemadi, best friends from Sarah Lawrence College who quit other careers to become pastry chefs. After appearing on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars three times (and winning!), they founded Cake Life Bake Shop in the Globe Dye Works building in 2013 before moving to Cake Life’s current home on Frankford Avenue.

Kawaii Cat Cafe

Kawaii is Japanese for cute! The Kawaii Kitty Cafe is Philadelphia’s premier cat cafe located in historic fabric row in the heart of Queen Village. One part adoption center, one part cafe mixed together in a relaxing atmosphere with all the comforts of home. While the cafe tries its best to accommodate walk-ins, the cat room fills up fast. They recommend making a reservation to secure your time in our cat lounge. Weekends tend to book a week ahead of time so plan accordingly. For more information on booking time in the cat room or to make a reservation, check out the cafe’s website.
